The Sasebo Alumni Association will be for all past, present, and future Dependents, Teachers, Parents of Students, and friends of Sasebo.

The purpose of the Association will be:

• to secure and maintain "start up" funds necessary for future Reunions, and the maintenance and distribution (postage, printing, supplies) for a Directory and updates to all members;
• to provide a central point of contact for all members through the establishment and maintenance of an internet website; and
• to continue the search for all classmates and teachers.

All members will be encouraged to participate in the operation of the Association in one or more of the following areas:

President and Vice President - to provide direction and be the primary point of contact concerning all Association matters.

Treasurer and Membership Officer - responsible for the accounting of all dues and the pursuit of new memberships and renewals.

Class Coordinators/Representatives - to maintain contact, submit changes affecting any of the classmates within their group to the association, and to locate former classmates from their era. (Two or more coordinators/representatives responsible for 2 or 3 specific years could be used.)

Webmaster - responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the Association website.

Reunion Committee Members - responsible for the planning of future Reunions.

Membership Fees:

Annual Membership…………..$20.00

Lifetime Membership…………$100.00

Contributions above and beyond membership fees are welcome and appreciated.

Note:

• Membership fees and contributions are NOT tax deductible.
• All operating positions as described above serve as "volunteers", and as such will NOT be compensated for their time and efforts on behalf of the Association.
• All membership fees and contributions will be used ONLY to cover the cost of materials, postage, and the website.

Benefits of Membership:

• Association Members will have access to information and the ability to contact all classmates.
• Association Members will be able to post notices and announcements to the Bulletin Board for all to see.
• Most importantly, Association Members will know that they are providing the necessary support to continue future gatherings and the search for friends and classmates still to be found.
