I recently got together with my best friend from 6th grade, Mike Humphrey, whom I contacted through the Sasebo website.  We used to get together as teenagers, with me living in San Diego and he in the L.A. area.  The last time we saw each other was 1966, me a college student and him a young Marine back from a tour to Vietnam.  Turns out he's been living in N. Las Vegas for the last seven years, never knew about the reunions.  This year he says he'll be there.  Enclosed are two photos, one from 1959 in front of our fort (a wooden crate) in my backyard at 571 Dragon Heights and the second taken January 5th, 2004.  It was great to reconnect and we look forward to the next reunion. - Jack Curren  1/19/04
